How To Find The Best Lash Training

But when I see Lash Training Courses advertising with the following I get a lil suspicious 👀

🚩 Crazy cheap pricing

🚩 No need for a live model

🚩 Learn Classics / Hybrids / Volumes in just ONE DAY

🚩 Learn from home / fully online

🚩 🚩BECOME AN EXPERT IN JUST 4 HOURS 🚩🚩

That last one always gets me… 😫😭

In a world full of advertising and companies claiming to be, 'The Best' in the industry and with the influx of new 'training academies' it's really hard to know what to look for when you're beginning your lash journey.

What is classed as quality training? What makes a training good or poor? What is going to give you the best start to your lash career? 🧐

Now this isn't me claiming to be the best in any way or a plea like "hey gal come train with me" - (although I would love for you to of course 😉 ) nor am I claiming to be the best in the biz..

But after 15 years in the beauty industry, I know what you need to be looking for when searching for high quality training.

Here are some great points that you'll want to keep an eye out for when you're looking to train in Lash Artistry.. or any course within the beauty industry!

✅ Investing in your knowledge

✅ Small class sizes

✅ Live model practical

✅ Case studies required

✅ Glowing student reviews

✅ Ongoing support or mentorship

Here is my advice on how to start your Lash Career 🚀👩🏻‍🎓📚

You need to do your research 🕵🏼‍♀️

Don’t just choose a training course just because they are the cheapest or the closest to you.

You want to find an educator who you feel comfortable with, that has experience in the industry, someone who is going to support you as you learn; because Lash Artistry isn’t easy!

Ask a tonne of questions!!

Do I get to work on a model?

Is there post training support?

Do I need to provide case studies?

Do I receive a kit?

What brands do you work with?

Who are your courses accredited with?

And for each of these questions go away and research the answers, the brands, the accrediting body for the training provider and so on.

The more information you can gather, the more you can compare and understand exactly what you'll be getting from your training.

Search for previous student reviews and stalk your educators socials to make sure that their style is how you’d like to work!

Everyone is different and it's so important that you gel well with your educator.

You want to be confident that you are going to be comfortable with them and supported during and post training - because after your initial training is when you're going to need them the most!

You need to feel that you can contact your educator for anything, even the questions you think would be daft (I promise you they're not at all!)

Set realistic expectations!

There's a couple parts to this and I'm going to be real with you here..

First off you need to look at your training as an investment.

I mean, I have spent thousands of pounds on training myself over the 9 years that I have been actively lashing.

Now this isn't me saying that cheaper training is no good but any Lash Artist worth their weight in gold is going to be charging top dollar for their time and their knowledge.

And I’m sorry (not sorry) but £200 or less, huge classes & learn it all in a day… you gotta get real suspicious 🤨

You are a beginner and that is okay!

You’re not going to learn it all and be shiz hot in one day.

Heck, even I'm still learning! The Lash world changes and evolves so quickly that it's important to keep up with new techniques, methods and technology.

You are right at the beginning of your career, you're only just getting started so enjoy and embrace this stage.

You have to start with the basic foundations and build on it - you can’t rush the process of growth babe 😉

Practise makes progress.

It's not going to be easy. There's going to be tears, there's going to be stress but with passion, consistency and determination believe me when I tell you that the rewards outweigh those down times.

Have patience, dedication, be consistent, practise your skill, allow yourself the time to grow and learn while trusting and believing in your passion.
